RISE – Team


Qualified and experienced project staff and field staff would be recruited under the project. The project team would consist of highly qualified and experienced persons at three levels

Management Team:The team is responsible for project execution as per strategy plan and guidelines. This team has an experience of working on the project for the past five years.

Technical Team: The team will be headed by domain expert, who would carry a rich experience in school education and who has developed the pedagogy and methodology. The master trainers in the technical team are responsible for training the teachers to deliver at field level. The technical team is responsible for curriculum design and development, classroom transaction, quality of teaching and monitoring.

Field Team: At the field level, there would be coordinators, supervisors and community teachers.

Selection of Teachers:

Teachers are the most valuable resource of RISE programme. Their key attributes are patience, creativity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and dedication. Numerous studies have shown that a positive role model in a child life can contribute to the empowerment of a child to take initiatives to improve his/ her personnel circumstances. Under the project, the teachers are essentially drawn from the community or the slum itself which is a proven strategy for success and provides project sustainability in the long run. 50 community teachers would be recruited in each cluster as per their pre-defined qualifications, job profile and responsibilities. A rigorous selection method will be followed for all recruitments. Since the project is a continued project, those teachers who have given good performance would continue to work under the project, remaining would be engaged afresh. Some of the important criterion of selection would be:

  • Minimum qualification should be 12th Pass, preferable graduate
  • Age group should be 18-35 years
  • Should be able to pass the prescribed written test and interview.
